I am getting my first closed toe bindings. Am an intermediate riders with some flips and spins. Should I get the 2011 ronix kai, or the 2011 cwb faction bindings. I am riding a 2011 hyperlite clash wakeboard.

I would go with the Ronix. Probably a lighter and better quality binding than the CWB. Just my opinion.

Everyone raves about Ronix boots (I stil rock my pair from like 2008 and they're holding up awesome). Nothing against CWB if you find a good deal on them though.

Ronix has a reputation for making the best boots in the industry, but I don't think they really deserve it. Their boots are very well-made, but I don't like the way they fit. The liners are so dense that they squeeze my foot quite hard. They're restrictive and they give me foot cramps.

Try both if possible. The CWBs are awesome as well. It will come down to which binding is better for your foot shape.

Thanks. I don't really live in an area with the wakeboard hype like I wish. So I am going to try and find a place around that I can try on the bindings. I'm comin off a pair of open toe cwb bindings I liked to an extent. Couldn't seem to get the foot hold I wanted. Not sure if its the open toe or the fact that they weren't too great of bindings.

Are you considering the Kai open toe or the Kai closed toe? They made both for 2011. I would advise you to go with a closed toe boot for a more secure, comfortable, and personalized feel.

I'm planning on closed toe. One of the main reason being I'm tired of a size 14 foot squeezing into my size 9-10 boot and stretching it out. I guess I'm going to get the ronix. I've heard pretty much about them, and nothing about the cwb. Also have found a great deal on them.

Go for it. I've never tried them, but they seem like great bindings.

I bought a pair of Ronix Franks last year and they are by far the best fitting and feeling CT bindings I've ever owned. In the past I've owned and ridden CWB, Liquid Force, and Slingshot bindings but none compare to how well these work for me. Easy in, easy out, and great fit. Right now they divide their time between an '09 LF Lyman FLY for the boat and an '11 Slingshot Response for the cable. I'm keeping them.
