This place needs a thread to get things going, so hopefully this be it.
What will you do this season? Be it either tricks, trips or chicks...
I am going to get my inverts back, add some new grabs with tweaks to them, get switch riding dialed in and land a 3. I can flip, hit double ups, rails and go big heal and toe side but I haven't been able to pass a handle, that ends in 2012.
I will also be camping and road tripping to ride more this year with a lot of filming. Chase boats and gopro's galore! _________________

I will learn to be 60-70% of the rider switch that I am regular. I will learn raleys and air tricks and dial in my backside spins. I'll get my boat groove back and ride at Wake Games, every stop on the Gravel Tour, and a bunch of cable comps as well. _________________ rally to the wake |

ride 5-10 minutes switch on EVERY set of the year
dial in the backside 180's
land a 3 and at least one invert
ride with more people this year
ride in more places this year
hit up a cable park (closest is Louisiana right now)
get my 18mo boy out on the board with me at least once (might have to be when momma isn't there this year) _________________ Lithic, LLC, my biz

I hope to get back in to wakeboarding, the past 2 years we've mostly wakesurfed but I always did that because I was out of shape. I've been running about every day for the past two months and feel like I'll be ready to wakeboard more this summer. _________________ '05 Supra Launch 24SSV |

Why don't you just strap on the wakeboard to get back in shape? Lot more fun than running imo. _________________ FlyZone Wakeboarding Costa Rica |

My goals are the same as they were 2 seasons ago, but I never progressed because I've hardly ridden since 2010 started. Wanna get all my 180's and 360's down, both switch and HS and TS both ways. Then start working on some inverts. Hopefully I'll get to ride more this year. _________________

| Goals are to improve toeside and get more pop consistently. Add switch and my 180's maybe some grabs if I get the rest down. |

Don't have a boat, so mine are all cable goals:
-Get my cable flatwater tricks back.
-Finally land a crow mobe.
-Learn anything other than a scarecrow off of a toeside kicker.
-Film myself more.
General goals that tie in to wakeboarding
-Drop 40lbs
-Improve my cardio (started training for a 5k!) so I can spend more time riding instead of catching my breath. |

entire focus this year is going to be on steeze. last year i was on the add another 180 train and i'm ready to get back to focusing on style and setting my riding apart from everyone else. although, i got close on a couple of 9s last season so hitting one would be sweet.. started doing a lot of wrapped tricks and grabs after handle passes at the end of last season and had a blast so going to experiment with those and focus on figuring out which grabs look/feel the best.
definitely want to travel and ride with new people around texas as much as possible this season. the tx scene is so chill and i regret not riding with new people as much last season. |

In 2012 I hope to find a business partner, or at least an intern/trainee/employee (anyone?!). Riding-wise: yeah also definitely want to be riding switch better, and ride in some other central american countries and meet local riders there. Promote and help grow the sport in Costa Rica. _________________ FlyZone Wakeboarding Costa Rica |

first goal for me is to get out on the water as much as possible. riding wise - practice and make my riding more consistent - bankroll and raley are the two tricks I want to dial in.
gonna de-win the boat in another two weeks - and hopefully start pouring the hours on.. |

Learn to ride switch, get a new board and bindings and hopefully a new boat(thats winter time). Also commit to getting more pop off the wake as opposed to launching across it. _________________ Don't rush to judge me, no matter how fast you won't be the first one. |

Thanks man, I think my board being old and very flat was at least one factor that was preventing me from getting the pop. Know I need to hold that edge better too though. _________________ Don't rush to judge me, no matter how fast you won't be the first one. |

| Tough to say, normally I make a list of tricks I want to learn every year, but I usually only land a fraction of them. Last year I made it a focus to ride based on the feel-o-meter and I think overall it worked well for me. I would just do whatever tricks felt good that day, and try whatever new trick seemed best for that set. Then again, I did get absolutely wrecked and am still feeling the effects of that when I tried a raley with no warmup... |

Same. I tried making a trick list because I was worried that I wasn't progressing fast enough and all it did was make me more stressed about it. I see now that that's the wrong way to approach the challenge of progressing my riding. I always learn the most when I'm having fun. It's important to be willing to try scary and difficult new things, even raleys, but I've learned that if I just take baby steps and learn things that are fun to learn, everything will take care of itself. _________________ rally to the wake |

I did the same two years ago with a list in order of what I needed to learn. Didn't learn squat that summer. This past summer I made it a point to laugh at myself every time I fell. I had more fun and that list of tricks shrank some. Also helping with that was taking the scary out of the tricks. I watched the LearnWake videos and The Book and broke each one of them down to simple steps. Think I only had two bad wipeouts. Made learning more fun for sure. _________________ Lithic, LLC, my biz

my most progressive summer was when I changed everything up. I didn't ride with people that took it so serious, just focused on having fun. I got my first invert, a bunch of new grab variations and almost stuck a roll to revert. _________________

I think its important to have a group who is out to have fun, but also a balance of seriousness towards wanting to improve and do new tricks and the hype that comes with that.
At the moment I ride with a group of people that have been riding longer than I have yet still cant even jump wake to wake because they arent brave enough to edge hard enough or try something different. And I feel thats holding me back a bit.
In 2012 im trying to get the right of group of regular people to ride weekly and hopefully we all progress together and have fun doing it. |

last year was first season behind a boat, previous was my first season and only cable parks.
I ended the season being comfortable riding switch and doing single wake 180's (heel side front and back, toe side front and back.)
I hope to pick up where I left off and get my 180s wake to wake quickly and then move on to 3's. maybe try an invert and a raley.
At the park I want to get more slides down and finally try the raley.
other than that install a subwoofer and ws420, and go to brostock since it moved to lake of the ozarks. |

Don't have an aggressive year planned. Got a lot done last season. I'll probably try to add a grab to my tantrum, and work on getting the 360 more dialed. I can land one here and there but by no means have them "down". The tantrum on the other hand is my bish, I got that thing dialed last year. _________________ Today is a chance to become a greater person than the person we were the day before. |

Buy a Boat!
Stick a HS 3 and lock down tantrums behind the boat and at the cable.
Take a few more lessons. |

Obsessed.
Take a few boat lessons at a local camp or even with some one from Craiglist. My crew is kind of the same as yours, self taught and not gong anywhere. They are my best freinds and I love riding with them but I honestly have more fun in a 1 hour $50 lesson with a local kid so I can get some one-on-one attention. You will be amazed at how much a few pointers from someone better than you will help and how much more stoked (or obsessed) you will be this season. |

| Unfortunately I wont get any proper lessons around here. I went to a wakeboard camp in SriLanka, it was great fun riding daily for a week but didn't get too much instruction. I'm thinking about doing the same again somewhere else with a good teacher sometime soon. |

Going to try and organize a few more rider sessions on the boat. I aways have a great time when riders come to town and we get them out on the boat. This year I want to make sure I can get out when these guys come into town for events. _________________ Wakeskating

| As the season gets closer, I wanted to bring this thread back to the forefront. This season I want to land my HS backroll. I have been working on it for 2 years, I have gotten so close just need to hold my edge and work on the pop. I also want to work on HS 3 and Tantrum. |

Switch is already getting noticably better, after only one good set at 50ft. Should have done that 15 years ago.
Costa Rican and Latin American wake associations are in the making, so that part is going. And possibly hitting the cable in Panama in may, so I might even achieve something there.
Now finding that partner... _________________ FlyZone Wakeboarding Costa Rica |
