It's a love-hate board. Very unique feeling.
Personally, it's my least favorite board I've ever tried. The flex characteristics didn't feel intuitive, consistent, or predictable. It was so loose as to be unrideable without fins and too locked in with Ronix's standard 1.0-inch ramp fins.
I just didn't feel the snap-back pop that I get from my Slingshot. When I hopped on my Slingshot for the first time, I didn't have to change anything about the way I rode to enjoy the explosive flex pop of the board. If you watch videos on the Phoenix Project, Ruck talks about adjusting to a later, ollie-style pop. It really is a board that you have to adapt to.
That said, there must be something in it. Many of my friends swear by it. If you pop the way it pops, I'll bet it's pretty sweet. If I had tried it on rails or with LF's smaller RX fins, maybe I would've liked it more.
I really hated this board, but don't let that deter you from trying it. Maybe you'll find something in it that I couldn't. _________________ rally to the wake |

Best board I've ridden so far. Not saying it's the best board out there, just the best one I've ridden. I find it to be extremely predictable, locks in/breaks free when you want, very consistent pop off the wake.
As always, I'd recommend demoing a board before purchasing. Everything's relative, what works for one person is different for another. _________________ "Dumb dumb Cobe. Almost got in a fight. Almost got kicked off the island." |

best board I have ridden as well. I am contemplating buying another for when my current phoenix gives out. Just a very smooth board. Most people around here that have tried it have loved it from the first jump.

to elaborate on this... you can ride it like any other board, and it rides similar to a continuous rocker board. It will be a super smooth release, and pop more forward. If you pop late off your back foot though, then it will pop you straight up. It will rival the pop of almost any other board, but is still a lot smoother release.
It is a slower board especially transitioning edges, so I can see how some people may not like it for that reason though. |

Now ya see, that's exactly what Ronix advertises, but I didn't find that to be the case. It was just flat out weak. Again, definitely a board that you should demo before you buy. It could suck, or it could be totally awesome. _________________ rally to the wake |
