Hey guys, i'm looking to buy a new boat and have a budget of $15K. We would really like a V-drive for the seating and storage but would consider a DD if i would get a great deal for under $10K. I know i will most likely not find a V-drive in mint condition with a budget of 15K, so i don't mind and am capable of doing some work on it if i need to. I will most likely have to drive a few hours to find one as i live out in West Texas and there isn't much of a selection out here. I found a 99' Wakesetter VLX for 16K that needed some TLC but it just sold. Also, there is a 99' Centurion Elite V-drive close for 15K, it looks like it needs a little TLC and doesn't have a tower or ballast. We will use the boat to wakeboard the majority of the time, so i would like something with a good wake. Any thought on the Centurion or any other boats anyone might know of? Thanks!

I would look at the malibu sunsetter/wakesetter, the sanger v210, nautique super sport if you want v-drives in that price range.

x2 for the nautique super sport. I saw one on craigslist in PA for 15000. It was in great shape but it did not have a tower. Go to google and use "search tempest" to search all of craigslist. Also look on boattrader.com and onlyinboards.com.

Any thoughts on a 97'-01' Mastercraft Maristar VRS? I have seen a few of those around my price range.

1999 maristar 205vrs is the same hull as the old xstar/x2/x1 and would throw a good wake. They are pretty rare though. I don't know much about the other maristars from that era.
