| Not considering anything else, which boat do you think has a better wake board wake? |

I have ridden behind an 08 x1 which is the same hull as the 205 and the wake was pretty nice but it needs A LOT of weight to be very poppy. Never ridden behind a SAN _________________ Lake Shelbyville, IL |

Hmm, the PS205 hull was revamped in 96 I believe, making it different than the X-star hulls after that. They both have great hulls and wakes though. Can't go wrong. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

The 1995 205 hull is quite a bit different than the 1996+ 205/205v/x2/x1 hulls. The pre-95 hull has a much better slalom wake, but the wakeboard wake isn't nearly as good. A 96+ 205 would be a better choice. 1999 was the first year of the 205v and that would be even better.
I don't know much about the sport nautique, but I believe it is also a boat geared more towards slalom skiers. I think the 1999 pro air has the same hull as the 1999-2006 super air nautiques, so I would look for a pro air or super air. |

JRW160, on the Nautique, the Pro Air's were supposed to be worse than the Sports, and Super Airs I believe. PlanetNautique.com would be the best place to go to inquire about this.
The Super Sport would be your first choice, it turned into the Super Air hull, which is one of the classic hulls of our sport.
I don't know for sure but the Sport hull was introduced in 89, revamped in 93, and 96 I believe. They were all very good wakeboard boats. I would expect the '99 Sport hull to be a similar or same shape to the Super Air, other than the V-drive. Again check with Planet Nautique. I still don't think you can go wrong with either of these boats. The 99 obviously being newer. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

| Thanks, I know it's a weird comparison, but due to the boats avail to me on the local market there are two examples of these that are nice deals for my budget. I'd definitely prefer a Super Air/Sport or 205V, but those aren't options for me at this time. |

I think the sport has basically the same hull as the super air, so it's a proven hull. Probably a better choice than the old hull ps205, especially being 4 years newer.
There are a lot of opinions both ways about the pro-air hull. It was discontinued after only a few years, so maybe that says something. A few guys toward the end of this thread seem to like the pro-air. One guy goes so far as to say it is better than the super air, which I find hard to believe.
