i think we're all in for some disappointment here. they pretty much blew the budget on the battle of blackwater and they still need to sew up jon north of the wall, and how the mess in king's landing on top of the house of the undying - all in one episode. |
They did save a ton by doing the Battle of Blackwater at night, though...........Also, no Reek? How does Theon get what's coming without Reek/Ramsay? It also shows the treachery from the inside of the North that leads to the Red Wedding............... |

they saved a ton by doing a bunch of different things - at night, no ground forces, no chain. still the most expensive episode of this season by a longshot. |

You're ahead of the storyline. That's still to come. |

Nope, he is in a cell (caught getting a little necro love) and freed by Theon when he takes Winterfell. He comes back as Ramsay and.......... |

May not be a complete list? It's seems Ramsay would be a pivotal character showing how Reese hedges his bets but the producers are probably correct you can only have so many sub-plots/characters on a TV show.........Belwas defeating the lancer outside of Mureen(?) is won of my favourite scenes from the books............. |

completely possible that it's not a complete list, but there's a lot of chatter than both reek and belwas will not be included. they are cutting parts to keep it more simple for the tv viewer, imo. i can absolutely see that theory re: reek - kind of hard to show his arc, and maybe not that hard to cut it out entirely.
i'm already bent about what they've done w/ dany and the dragons in quarth. screwing up that story arc is pissing me off.
edited to remove potential spoiler.

I don't think they needed to introduce the first Reek. I wouldn't think it important to the storyline as they would likely just show when Theon takes on Reeks role. Hell, I don't even remember him being introduced originally.
I don't think this spoils anything. If it does, too late you shouldn't have read it. |

Torrents. In order to use HBO Go, you have to subscribe to HBO to begin with. _________________ RIP DLS.

Yea, it's looking like that is going to be the only way. I was hoping there was some other way to watch it instead of downloading one episode at a time. |

I just watched the last episode. What the Bubb Rubb just happened? I guess I'll have to read the books now. I can't wait till the next season starts _________________ RIP DLS.

For those who have read the books, did the second season start and end with the second book as the first season did with the first book? _________________ TONA

This was the first episode I have watched and thought they deviated from the book and the characters quite a bit. Not sure what happened to the Reeds but we'll see. I could probably go look it up, but I don't care that much. |

jason_ssr, pretty much.
if you are going to read the books - start w/ book 1. don't try to jump in on book 3, because the show leaves a TON of stuff out. also, book 3 gets split into two seasons on tv, because so much stuff happens in that book. they are REALLY quick reading books, save book 4 which is kind of slow. i read all 4 books last summer between then end of the 1st season and august. |

I wonder how they plan to introduce them now. I'm sure they come up with something, but it's hard to see at the moment. However, I can see where they would have spent a good part of an episode introducing them. |
