Everyone says don't paint it, and I think I am going to listen(for now) but what about wrapping it in vinyl? Any thoughts? I've got a gold obsession and was thinking a metallic gold vinyl wrap. It may scratch, but I figure better that then the board. _________________ Don't rush to judge me, no matter how fast you won't be the first one. |

Ive got a old BG crap board that fell off my tower on the way to a ramp one day I repaired it and painted the boarder gold, the paint sticks if you prep the area good but will scratch off if you ding the board around alot. |

just make sure to use high quality and adhesive promoter. I'd also not wrap around the edges, just do the top side _________________ Dale - "When life hands you lemons, make lemonade -- THEN find someone who's life handed them vodka and throw one helluva party" |

Devil does that shine in the sun? Bmock curious as to why would you say don't wrap the edges or the bottom? I thought they wrapped boats that way. Wondering what downside, not questioning your judgement just seeing if there was a reason behind it. Also I am going to email you a link for some discount shades. _________________ Don't rush to judge me, no matter how fast you won't be the first one. |

I would think it would peel more, but i could be wrong. On boats they only go so far down, not the whole bottom. Sure its partially because of the trailer, but I could see the same problem. _________________ Dale - "When life hands you lemons, make lemonade -- THEN find someone who's life handed them vodka and throw one helluva party" |

I was thinking of trying to wrap the board in one solid piece to try to prevent peeling, but I'm just spitballing here so I don't know at this point. _________________ Don't rush to judge me, no matter how fast you won't be the first one. |

I would use this stuff:
http://www.oracal.com/products/product.asp?seriesID=215&tabID=ts
its marine specific with a permanent adhesive back _________________ Dale - "When life hands you lemons, make lemonade -- THEN find someone who's life handed them vodka and throw one helluva party" |

No problem sir, for that big of job definitely use soapy water and a heat gun so you don't end up with a bunch of bubbles _________________ Dale - "When life hands you lemons, make lemonade -- THEN find someone who's life handed them vodka and throw one helluva party" |

Nah first you'll buy a small cutter and cover everything in vinyls and then you'll buy a big one (48"+) and cover your walls, and then buy a solvent printer and wrap stuff outdoors! It's an addiction, you saw all the vinyls I put on the board haha _________________ Dale - "When life hands you lemons, make lemonade -- THEN find someone who's life handed them vodka and throw one helluva party" |

i painted a krown 135e sand and based cleared it and it looks great. super shinny.
sand by hand with 400 grit{get all the shinny off}
then prime it. with a no sand primer.
