SOLD!!
Mercury High Five 21p stainless steel five blade prop. Came new on my Crownline 200LS. Bought last July, probably has 40 hrs. on it. Fits Alpha I outdrive. A few scratches, just cosmetic, no nicks, dings, etc. This is the perfect watersports prop. Selling to drop down to a 19p. High Five. Reduced to $250 plus shipping.

Hello,
I'm pretty new to boating... how do you think this prop would fair on a Mercruiser 5.0 MPI Alpha I? It currently has a High Five 19p. Just curious, why are you dropping down in pitch?

I really wish I would have heard from you last week. We needed to trade!! The 21p was just a little too much for the 4.3L MPI V-6. It did o.k., was hitting about 4500 rpm and 48mph GPS on the top end, but I needed just a little more holeshot "pull" when I had 5 or 6 people in the boat, so I'm going down to the 19p. I've got a Crownline 200LS also with the Alpha I.
Not trying to talk you into buying something you don't need, but I'd think it would be the perfect match for you 5.0 MPI. You've got an extra 40-50 horsepower over my V-6 plus LOTS more torque. I'm surprised your not over-revving the motor with the 19p. Then again, what boat do you have and how heavy is it loaded??? |
