Heading to Breckenridge next week. It looks like it is about half open, so we'll have some fun but it's going to suck having the bowls closed. One of my buddies is going to Tahoe the next week with the annual Farm Bureau trip and last time I saw it, Heavenly was sitting at about 200 acres open. Pretty crappy winter.

Tahoe seems to have it the worst.
Freaking barely a 12" base at Squaw Valley lower mtn Shocked

Like you said 200 Acres at Heavenly of 4800 acres, this is just crazy for Lake Tahoe.

CO is doing about the same as UT.
Snowbird we've had 99 inches YTD, there are some groomers at least to ride on. Nothing off piste' really

Arizona Snowbowl is hurting, 14" base lower mtn and I was up yesterday, coverage is way thin, if we don't get more weather I may have wasted money on my season pass

Just as bad over here. We may be doing better though just because us Southeasterners never have a lot of snow so we have 100% snowmaking...but our Ace resort (Snowshoe Mtn) is only about 2/3 open with about a 12" base. For every snowstorm we get, there is a half inch of rain a few days later. Moisture hasnt been our biggest problem (like out west), it just wont stay cold. Here in blacksburg normally this time of year we might not break freezing for several days. This year its only dipped into the twenties a handful of times at night and its hitting 50-60 during the day.

Im not sure its going to turn around Crying or Very sad At least I got a decent 4 days at the 'shoe last week and parks arent very dependent on snowfall

Oh man I fly out the 12th! I have been snowboarding 4 times I think now and I am totally adicted to it! Being from FL it is not cheap but I get to go once a year (twice last year) and I love every minute of the trip. I pray that they continue to get good snow! Do you know that Keystone has night skiing? Your lift tickets are good at Breck as well if you want to make the 30min drive to check it out. We will be at Breck during the day and then Keystone at night for added fun!

We're hurting big time up here in the North east as well. This time last year we were riding on at least a 40-60" base, and had well over 8' of snow. Everything this year has been man made, maybe 10-18" max natural pow so far this year. Being ranked as one of the snowiest cities in the US ( Syracuse, NY) I am actually glad I didn't have the cash for a season pass this year.

I'm heading to Killington Vermont in two weeks for valentines day, right now the extended forecast is at least calling for temps to be In the 20's the week prior. Hopefully it will be good.

we got a few feet of snow from these Jan storms here in Utah. Not bad now, Snowbird has about a 70 inch base. Still very few powder days so far compared to last year though, I've had 3 Sad Only 1 true day where i was finding completely untracked stuff even then it was a hunt. People were hungry for it.

Saw the news this morning and they are calling for like 24" of snow in Denver-I fly into Denver Wed to snowboard at Breckenridge Thurs-Sat. I saw a weather map that has very little snow to the west of Denver, I mean come on!! How does Denver get that much snow and the mountains there get almost zero?!

Just got back fro Breckenridge and we had a blast! We got over 13" of snow over the 3 days we were there. I was able to get my fiance over on some black diamonds but could not convince her to go up to the top of the mountain with me. Did not get on the half pipe this year and didn't even go through the big terrain park, but I did take a few laps through the smaller one.

Chawk I hope you're having a good time in Keystone!

Hey Pat... yep, got back Friday...sadly Smile We had a blast! I got good enough to make it down the 3 1/2 mile run from the top. It was a green but that was fast enough for me!

Can't wait to go back next year!

What did you ride while you were there? Glad you had a good time! You got a good amount of snow didn't you? Keystone is MUCH steeper than Breck is, so my black diamonds are like an easy blue for Keystone haha

Headed to Tahoe Sat... just hope to get in a few runs somewhere, anywhere! If not, I'm bringing my hiking boots and day pack, too.

Sambo there should be enough snow out there now! A month ago would have been slim pickings. At least CO has enough, I actually have not heard about Tahoe.
Good luck, let us know!

There is plenty of snow at the major resorts. You might not find off-piste stuff, but the groomers will be covered.

Got a condo at the base of Heavenly. It's about half open sounds like. So, at least a day or two there, maybe Mt Rose for two-for-one Wed and then Kirkwood if I have to. KW seems to have the most snow, but longer drive. Then again, I live in MI so whatever I get will be tits compared to here! Getting geeked. Should be a good fix to hold me over till wakeboarding starts...

Seems like everyone is struggling this year with the lack of snow. I've been in Whistler for the season and we're very lucky to have the stuff house load of snow we have. Over a 10' base and we just got two feet of fresh this past weekend and another foot or more by the end of this week.

Just remember a shitty winter means summer is coming sooner!
