Do the people with back yard ice resurface by spraying with water?

Real question, I live in a not so frozen part of the country.

Hit a pond again today, good turn out. Grilled up some dogs and brats, had a few adult beverages. All in all, another good day!

I see the Little One has the same sweatshirt on as the last photos.

Is pond hockey much slower/less aggressive? I can't see how you could pass up the ice/shoot the puck without it sailing into the bushes every 5 seconds.

You lose a few pucks, bound to happen. But it's not crazy different, not chasing pucks all day or anything.

More passing, more dekes, less shooting. We used to find a few pucks in the spring for sure though.
Looks like fun EJ! I miss having a big backyard.

looks awesome EJ.

our outdoor rink went super high tech. Certainly doesn't have the old school pond hockey feel to it like that. We have boards, Zamboni and it's refridgerated so we can typically play outdoors until the highs get into the hight 40's.

right there that's what hockey is all about! and to answer LFADAM, you chase the puck way less than when you're playing street hockey.... half the game is chasing the ball after someone missed the net.

Try hitting the net!

Have not skated since I had a minor repair, miss playing outdoors with my bros. Every Sunday morning.

Pond hockey is the best. Looks like fun.
