|
|
Hey, My first boat here (2004 supra launch 22ssv GGE) and I had an accident with the factory tower so I had a shop install the Aerial Freeride forward swept tower....
Long story short, I need some opinions on how it looks to help me make a couple important decisions in the next week or so...I am desperate! lol Thanks Guys. -Ben |

I've always really been a fan of the old Rad-a-cage towers that were on those years. |

What decisions need to be made? Its defiantly different. Kinda looks too tall for the boat. It takes the streamline look away. Maybe i'm just not used to a forward facing tower. |

Well, the shop installed it wrong so I need to decide if I want to install the old radacage For another $1K. Or just cut my losses with this boat and current tower : ( |

Get the radacage, that thing looks like it's backwards. The lines just don't look right. |

FlyHighSupra, What did they do wrong with it?
For the record I heard those towers are tough to get right and have issues with rattling etc.
Have you looked at the New Monster Tower MTk? I just installed a couple and was very impressed. _________________ www.AxisBoats.co.uk | www.Malibu-Boats.co.uk |

They installed it too far back and they assembled pieces wrong which made the tower too narrow. They also didn't chanter the holes which lead to gel coat cracking and the tower speakers were not properly wired. (used electrical tape instead of connectors) |

It sounds like they really screwed up. I think it looks ok where it is, but would probably look a little better if it was moved forward. Do you think it is worth the possible damage to the boat to move it forward a little? And are you going to be left with holes in the hull from the legs? I think most of us are used to seeing supras with the rad a cage tower so it is just a new/different look. Are they going to give you any compensation for doing such a poor job? |
