I am ready to try a backroll last minute advice?

I can clear hs/ts w2w
180's
180 grabs

Any special tips that helped you when you were first learning would be appreciated.
I know the basic ideas:

wait for the pop before you start the roation
spot landings

where should the handle be in the rotation?
One hands or two?

Thanks

handle should be really close to your body.
use 2 hands as long as you can.
edge all the way through the wake.

don't confuse the man, he wants to try the backroll

Get your edge real heavy right before you get to the wake, stand tall as you leave the wake and try to release real high. Don't look for the 2nd wake or you will kill your rotation, instead release straight up and start to look over your lead shoulder for the landing, thats the only chance you have of completing the rotation. Keep the handle in the same place it is when you leave the wake- tight to your hips. And hold on with BOTH HANDS as tight as you can, don't let the handle pop out until you are eating water.

i know what i want to try first....

tantrums require too much flip edge and flip starting by yourself

backroll needs good edging, pop and i can use the handle to help my rotation

letting go with your back hand helps prevent you from twisting and catching an edge. this might help

on a hs backroll, you shoudln't let go, with one hand.

and dumbassonwheels a tantrum is way harder to think about than a backroll, you have to do a lot more to make a tantrum come together that you would on a backroll
