First of all, is this the same boat as a ski nautique 2001? It looks very similar to me.
This is the link to one on ebay. The buy it now price is 7500 and the reserve on the auction is 5000.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270428484364&_trksid=p2759.l1259
In the description it says their is a rebuilt trans and carb last year. It comes with tower, 2 trailors, and 2 covers.
My question is does this seem like it is a lower price than normal or is that the price this boat should be going for? Any and all feedback would be greatly apprieciated.

mgs917, if you're wanting a decent wake for wakeboarding, do not get this. A friend of mine has one (his parents competed pretty hardcore nationally) and I rode behind it a few years back and the wake is literally 6 inches tall . The 2001 is a different hull and tosses a pretty large wake.

That Barefoots have the goofy little tracks down the hull like a 'Bu or MC.
The 2001's are just sexy, like, say, a Super Air.

Leave it for the barefooters, not even close to the same hull. That boat looks pretty beat to me anyway.

You have to be kidding The barefoot had a very deep V hull and a Large wake at
any speed.
"That Barefoots have the goofy little tracks down the hull like a 'Bu or MC."
You look at those 2 hulls side by side and you notice the lifting strakes

Ancient thread I know, but still pops up on google and I want to stop the spread of misinformation. Maybe a small wake at 35mph+, but at 22-24 the wake is respectable, especially if you have a full boat or a full tank of gas. The hull is quite deep and with the weight of the 454 it throws plenty of wake. Attached a couple pics showing the wake behind an 84 Barefoot with no ballast. Yes I love the barefoot
