Is it possible that my 07 STX-15F jetski can't pull me up? It pulls me up fine on a wakeboard, but I can't get it to pull me up on a wake skate. Am I doing something wrong? Would I be better off behind a boat? It's really frustrating because I want to test out the wake skate! Sorry if this is a complete newb issue. It's hard as a 30 year old male to let a simple wake skate beat me. |

Wakeskates have a lot less surface area than a wakeboard so it's going to be a little more difficult at first. You want to make sure to try and not "plow" through the water too much. A Jetski should be able to pull you up if it has no problem pulling you on a wakeboard. If there's hesitation from the ski even on a wakeboard, you may be out of luck. |

it all must be technique. you have a high powered performance ski. work on your technique and you will get it _________________ trying to find a $5-7K usable saltare if anyone knows of one. |

I started out wakeboarding behind that same jetski. It definitely has enough power for both wakeboarding and wakeskate.
Check your technique, I turn the board earlier on a wakeskate that on a wakeboard, I find it helps me come out faster. |

I do feel like i'm trying to plow through the water. So I must need to turn right as they hit it? |

I find that helps me get up easier.
But basically you want to keep the board at less of an angle to the surface of the water so there's less plowing. With a wakeskate you have to balance that idea as you have to have enough angle so that your feet are pressing against the board or you could be pulled off the board.
<- _____|~o = plowing
<-______\~o = less plowing, board will plane easier.
I hope that made sense. |

Makes perfect sense, that's exactly what my problem is. I usually have a wall of water plowing over my head. I'm sure if anyone could see it...goon would not even begin to describe what I looked like. |
