Hey guys,
Well, my fall is pretty much shot after my little mishap a couple of weekends ago with hitting bottom. There is a silver lining, I did get a new 537 prop and will be getting some stress cracks that were in the gel coat that have been an eye sore fixed along with the damage from the prop and bottom.

That being said, my buddies and I are looking at making a late October trip south down the east coast to find some warm water, on a nice lake, with some nice accommodations. We're coming from Western Massachusetts and be traveling probably right down 95. We're 2nd year riders, just looking to prolong the summer and have some fun.

Does anyone have some suggestions, given that we're looking to hopefully find water temps still in the mid 70's, not all of us have suits, a body of water that is pretty easy to navigate (don't need to whack the bottom again), and some affordable on the water (dock preferable if at all possible) lodging for probably 6 people/ 3 couples.

Thanks for any suggestions guys.

Well, let's try a different approach.

Has anyone ridden on Lake Marion in SC? Good? Bad? Expected water temps for late October?

Just go to Orlando. It will still be warm, tons of places to ride and cable parks.

I would love to if I had the extra time to drive the extra days. But being a working man and not for my own business, I have to hedge the drive time and expenditures.

I'm thinking that you won't find anything north of Florida with anything above 65 degrees or so by that time. You can generally research lake/river temps to find something. Everything in East TN is super cold (and little water) by that time.

It is going to be hard to find a place in the area you are looking at. Might I suggest going earlier.

Unfortunately won't be able to go earlier due to work restrictions and also, probably got another 3 weeks for boat repair to be complete.

I'm thinking VA is going to be pretty chill water temps in the 2nd to last week of October.

What are they usually?
