Unfortunately this is another "new board post" but ive been shopping forever and could use some advice.

The Ronix Phoenix Project - Any1 know anything about it? seems that it might be more built towards cable and rail riding, I dont ever ride cable or do rails so im looking for a boat only board. Is the flex too much? does it take away from the pop at all? I'm lookin for a board that i can do easy buttery surface slides, is it forgiving?

Hyperlite 2011 murray Nova - is the 2x normal cost really worth it?

CRTL wakeboards - Anyone know anything about this company some of the boards look Oh so sick, heard the blueprint is the best for boat riding, is this true?

I am an intermediate rider and am looking for a super soft landing wakeboard with pop, that is pretty loose and forgiving.

Thanks for the help
-Matt

Man, why does everyone apologize for making new board threads? They're like 50% of posts here, and there's nothing wrong with that! Are people really tired of these posts? I know I'm not! I love giving and getting advice about boards and just drooling over new product with my fellow riders. So ask away!

I just got done riding the Phoenix Project, and I can assure you that it has plenty of pop. It's one of those hybrids that are stiffer than a full flex board but flexier than a normal board. These boards seem to work great behind the boat.

I really hate the way Ronix does fins though. Finless, it was completely unrideable. It took a fair bit of skill to even ride straight! On the other hand, the 1.0 inch fins are horribly sticky and locked in and the 0.8 inch slider fins are still too tight for my liking. Like the Ronix One, it just seems to lack the natural responsiveness and fluidity through turns that LF boards have. I give it a big thumbs down for surface slides.

I have never ridden the Ibex. You should like it if you're into poppy wake-to-wake riding, but you'll sacrifice a bit of speed/distance into the flats with the Ibex. It's not the fastest board. I'm not sure how loose or tight on the water it is, but as with all Ronix boards, it depends on your fin choice.
