The family of a 10-year-old found dead in a trunk outside an Arizona home initially claimed the child died while playing hide-and-seek. But investigators now believe Ame Deal suffocated after her family locked her in the box because she took a popsicle from the freezer without permission.
Phoenix police claim Deal's grandmother, aunt and two cousins regularly subjected the child to horrific treatment, ultimately culminating in her July 12 death.
"This child died at the hands of those who were supposed to love and care for her. ... This case has turned the stomachs of some of our most seasoned detectives," said Phoenix Police spokesman Sergeant Trent Crump in a statement posted on the city's website.
Deal's passing was classified as a "death unknown" until July 28, according to the police press release.
But after Deal's cousin Samantha Allen, 23, and her husband, John Allen, 23, admitted putting the child in the trunk and padlocking it, authorities charged the couple with first degree murder.
John Allen was allegedly angry with Deal because she had taken a popsicle from the freezer, AZFamily reports.
Louisiana State Police arrested Billy Joe Madden after they stopped a pickup truck traveling on Interstate 12 and reportedly found his 8-year-old son driving while the 28-year-old father was intoxicated in the passenger's seat, according to Nola.com and the Louisiana State Police.
From the Associated Press:
Troopers say the man's 4-year-old daughter was in the back seat when the truck was stopped Saturday morning in Livingston Parish. The child's driving was so erratic that it alarmed motorists, who called authorities.
According to WVUE Fox 8, Holden allowed his son to drive while he was asleep. The Mississippi man and the two kids were driving from Hattiesburg, Miss. to Dallas, Texas.
The two kids were placed in the custody of Child Protective Services, according to the Louisiana State Police.
Madden has been charged with two counts of child desertion, two counts of no child restraint and parent allowing a minor to drive, among other charges.
The investigation launched in 2009 has led to arrests in the US and 13 other countries of participants in Dreamboard, which had a "VIP" ranking system for members trading in graphic images and videos of adults molesting children age 12 and under, often violently, the Justice Department said.
"Dreamboard's creators and members lived all over the world -- but they allegedly were united by a disturbing belief that the sexual abuse of children is proper conduct that should not be criminalized," Attorney General Eric Holder said.
"And, in many cases, the children being victimized were in obvious, and intentional, pain -- even 'in distress and crying,' just as the rules for one area of the bulletin board mandated," he added.
A Dallas woman is accused of forcing her 6-year-old daughter to record her having group sex repeatedly in recent months, according to police documents.
The 24-year-old woman was in the Dallas County Jail on Monday on a third-degree felony charge of indecency with a child, punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Her bail was set at $50,000.
...In an interview at the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center, the girl “detailed filming and taking photographs” of her mother engaged in sexual acts with men, the documents said.
In an interview at Jack Evans Police Headquarters, the mother admitted to having her daughter record her having sex with men.
The woman “explained that there were three separate incidents involving six men” that her daughter recorded, the documents said. The encounters dated from March to this month, according to police.
The mother added that “it was her idea to have [her daughter] make the recordings with a cellphone video recorder,” the documents said.
AUGUST 18--A Florida babysitter was arrested yesterday for felony child neglect after she loaded a stroller containing an eight-month-old boy into the back of a Dodge Ram pickup truck which then drove around on two of the area’s busiest roadways, police charge.
After receiving several 911 calls from alarmed motorists, the vehicle was approached by Daytona Beach police, who found Keyona Davis, 23, seated in the back of the truck bed next to the stroller.
The driver of the 1994 truck was identified in an arrest affidavit as “Mr. B. White,” who was cited for reckless driving.
Davis, pictured in the above mug shot, was arrested since she “should have reasonably concluded that a 8 mth old child in a stroller in the bed of a pick-up truck is a highly dangerous situation and incredibly unsafe,” according to the affidavit.
The incident, police charged, could have resulted in “serious injury or death to a child especially being driven on 2 of the most traveled roadways & intersections in the county.” It is unclear why Davis put the baby--who was not harned--in the vehicle bed instead of inside the truck’s cab.
After Davis’s arrest, cops contacted the baby’s mother, who arrived at the arrest scene and took custody of her child. The woman “was in tears as I told her about the incident,” a cop reported.
Davis is locked up in the Volusia County jail in lieu of $5000 bond. Records show that her rap sheet includes busts for car theft, cocaine possession, shoplifting, resisting arrest, criminal mischief/property damage, and fleeing law enforcement. While sentenced to 1-1/2 years on the latter two counts, she only spent spent six months in state prison before being released last January. Davis was also arrested last week for misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
A Jackson County woman is accused of convincing her husband to have sex with a 12-year-old girl in hopes that the girl would get pregnant and create another support check for the household, where the girl lived.
Alicia Ann Bouchard, 41, is charged with principal to sexual battery, soliciting sexual activity with a child, and principal to child abuse in the case.
According to the complaint filed against Mrs. Bouchard, the full details of incidents occurring last year came to light after the girl was sent to a shelter home in the wake of charges against the man involved, Alicia Bouchard’s husband, 26-year-old Matthew Bouchard.
Mr. Bouchard had been charged locally with sexual battery on a child 12 years of age and is being held in the Jackson County jail, where his wife was taken this week after her charges were filed. Mr. Bouchard has admitted to having sex with the child, according a complaint filed with the court. Mr. Bouchard has been in jail since late last year, when Leon County authorities picked him up on a warrant the local agency had issued for his arrest.
According to the complaint, Mrs. Bouchard also admitted to everything the girl told someone in the shelter home.
According to the complaint, the girl disclosed she had been sexually active with Mr. Bouchard in the presence of Mrs. Bouchard and that Mrs. Bouchard had told her that “the worse that could happen is you would get pregnant.”
The complaint states that, according to Mr. Bouchard’s statement, having the girl get pregnant was actually his wife’s goal in hopes that a pregnancy could lead to more income for the household.
In the complaint, officials noted that Mrs. Bouchard had written a letter of apology to the girl after the youngster was placed in a shelter. The complaint says the letter included statements “admitting that she should not have allowed the victim to watch her and Matt have sex and that she ‘dang sure should not have allowed (the child) to have sex with Matt.’”
Bond for Mrs. Bouchard was set at $70,000. Bond for Mr. Bouchard was set at $25,000 on the local charge, but he is being held without bond on behalf of another agency, Leon County. No information was immediately available on the Leon County matter.

At least the beheadings were adults (i'm assuming, haven't seen that video either)
The fact that people just walked by as a child was going through that makes me furious. Not sure what it says about me as a person but I wouldn't mind seeing any of those people who did nothing get their heads lopped off. I would watch that video with a box of popcorn and a cold beer. _________________ Does this rag smell like chloroform?
Former Penn State assistant coach Jerry Sandusky has been indicted on felony sex abuse charges against minors.
According to The (Harrisburg) Patriot-News, Sandusky faces 40 charges that include involuntary deviate sexual intercourse of someone under 16, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault of someone under 16, indecent assault of someone under 13, and corruption of minors. The alleged incidents took place from 1996-2005, and the charges come after a grand jury investigation into Sandusky that took more than two years.
The 67-year-old spent 32 years as a Penn State assistant and was considered a likely successor to Joe Paterno. Sandusky retired after the 1999 Alamo Bowl and began working full-time for The Second Mile, a children's charity he founded in 1977.
Paterno and Penn State athletic director Tim Curley reportedly were among those who testified before the grand jury this spring.
There are no words to describe how absolutely AWFUL this is. Not only did you have Sandusky doing all the nasty stuff that he did, but when someone reported this stuff to the Penn State ATHLETIC DIRECTOR and SVP of Finance and Business (overseer of the Police Department), they merely told Sandusky to stop bringing the little kids to campus facilities. Yeah, no big deal.
Anyways, they're both being charged with perjury and failure to report.
"One of the most compelling and disturbing pieces of testimony in this investigation came from an eyewitness to a late-night sexual assault that allegedly occurred in March of 2002, in the locker room of the Lasch Football Building on the University Park Campus," Kelly said. "Hearing what sounded like sexual activity in the showers of a building that was supposed to be empty, a graduate assistant reportedly observed Sandusky sexually assaulting a naked boy who appeared to be about 10 years old."
According to the grand jury, the graduate assistant had returned to the football building that evening to put a new pair of sneakers in his locker and to retrieve some recruiting films, only to be surprised that the lights were on in the locker room and showers were running. The assistant immediately recognized Sandusky.
Kelly said the assistant, who was extremely upset about what he had seen, immediately called his father to relate what he had discovered. Together, the two decided that the assistant should promptly report the incident to head football coach Joe Paterno.
The next morning, the assistant telephoned Paterno and then went to Paterno's home to explain what he had seen. Paterno testified that he then called Penn State Athletic Director Tim Curley and met with Curley the following day, explaining that a graduate assistant had reported seeing Sandusky involved in sexual activity with a young boy in the showers at the Lasch Building.
Kelly said that approximately one and a half weeks later, the graduate assistant was called to a meeting with Curley and Gary Schultz, who was Senior Vice President for Finance and Business at the University. At that time, the assistant again recounted what he had witnessed Sandusky doing to a young boy in the showers of the football locker room.
"Despite a powerful eyewitness statement about the sexual assault of a child, this incident was not reported to any law enforcement or child protective agency, as required by Pennsylvania law," Kelly said.
"Additionally, there is no indication that anyone from the university ever attempted to learn the identity of the child who was sexually assaulted on their campus or made any follow-up effort to obtain more information from the person who witnessed the attack first-hand."
Kelly said that rather than reporting the matter to law enforcement, Curley and Schultz agreed that Sandusky would be told he could not bring any Second Mile children into the football building. That message was also reportedly related to Dr. John Raykovitz at the Second Mile (Past Executive Director and Executive Vice-President and currently the President and CEO of the Second Mile).
Sandusky's list of charges is unbelievable:
-Seven counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, all first-degree felonies which are each punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a $25,000 fine.
-One count of aggravated indecent assault, a second-degree felony punishable by up to ten years in prison and a $25,000 fine.
-Four counts of unlawful contact with a minor, all first-degree felonies which are each punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a $25,000 fine.
-Four counts of unlawful contact with a minor, all third-degree felonies which are each punishable by up to seven years in prison and a $15,000 fine.
-Four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, all third-degree felonies which are each punishable by up to seven years in prison and a $15,000 fine.
-Four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, all first-degree misdemeanors which are each punishable by up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
-Eight counts of corruption of minors, all first-degree misdemeanors which are each punishable by up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
-One count of indecent assault, a third-degree felony punishable by up to seven years in prison and a $15,000 fine.
-Four counts of indecent assault, all second-degree misdemeanors which are each punishable by up to two years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
-Two counts of indecent assault, all first-degree misdemeanors which are each punishable by up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
-One count of attempt to commit indecent assault, a second-degree misdemeanor punishable by up to two years in prison and a $5,000 fine. _________________ www.TheLiquidPlayground.com
