So I bought a boat at the beginning of summer and we have had tons of fun tubing and kneeboarding but we want to try wakeboarding now. I am large person I weight in at 325 pounds, yes I know I'm fat but I'm also an athletic person and my size never holds me back. My question is how hard will wakeboarding be for me and what kind of board should I buy? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I am a bigger guy as well and started with a 146 LF Trip and it was easy enough to get up on. If I went on a 142 I would feel like I was sinking at times.

That would be my suggestion. Look for a year old one as prices are much cheaper usually on 1+ year old stock.

The bigger the board the slower you'll be able to go to learn new tricks. Like Gryphon said a 142 might feel like you're sinking at 22 mph, but if you bump it up to 25-26 mph it might be a big enough size.

If you want to see a big man throw down on a wakeboard... do a google search for Jason Buffalow. He used to hang around WW but I haven't been over there in forever, so I'm not sure if he's still riding. He used to be a board and tower quality "inspector"! Laughing If it didn't snap when he was riding then it was never going to snap.
