I just picked up a brand new pair of 07 liquid force Shane limited bindings. They rode great an liked them alot. Problem is when I got my board home the back of the bindings the plastic was peeling away and exposed the fabric behind it. Now I'm not sure becuase they are 4 years old and never hit the water or is this a normal problem?? Anyway to fix this?? Spray something on the boots?

Thanks

Bro no worries about that.. ALL Cosmetic!
Ride them til they die. Also own a pair 08 LF CT Shane's and they've gone bad also.

yeah that exactly what mine looks like. Just sucks first time out with them it happened. Got heck of a deal on the board and bindings so not complaing to much.

I was thinking of putting some liquid grip on them to protect the rubber.

I think it's a problem with the material they use back there. My '08 Shanes have the same thing, and I've seen friends bindings do the same. It looks like crap but doesn't really affect anything. Hopefully they have it fixed in newer bindings.

Although I think I'm gonna go with the Ronix One's for my next pair..

As others are getting at - this was a known issue on the 07, 08s but were fixed in 09 i believe (if not, definitely by 2010 models). All cosmetic, don't even worry about it. Ride em until they're toast.

Every pair of LF bindings I or my friends have ever owned have peeled like that. Its just cosmetic. A little annoying, but it won't affect the ride.
