I'm going wakeboarding at Big Bear Lake CA this weekend and am wondering what to expect. I've only ever gone at Lake Powell (once a year with my husbands family). How are the water conditions later in the day? How long is the water tend to be glassy? How busy is the lake?
FYI, I've been wakeboarding about 5 years, but I'm not very athletic so I'm just at the point where I go off the wake and get a tiny bit of air. So I'm not doing anything crazy. My husband likes to do grabs and 180s and such.
Thanks!

Expect a lot of jet skis, fishing boats, big boats, small boats and choppy water. You can might be able to get decent water super early but it gets messy by mid-morning. If you are lucky you might get some glass in the evening but the key word is lucky. The lake doesn't have a lot of fingers or coves so most of the riding is along the shoreline.
There is a cable up there at one of the marinas that you might want to check out. Last I heard they didn't have any rails or boxes to slide but that was awhile ago it might have changed.
