I have a 07 Supra 21v by the way.
Sunday we had a few issues:
The auto bildge doesnt seem to work anymore only manual mode.
My check engine light came on and said temp above threshhold I shut it off immeadiatly. Started it a few min later and it went from 209 deg to 179 deg in a matter of mins. Any Advice? Will the check engine light turn off now?
When I fill my center ballast the driver side rear fills automatically and does not empty?
Any help or advice is greatly appreciated! Thank you! |

| Not sure on the other 2, but on the bilge it sounds like the float switch for the automatic bilge is bad.... or maybe a loose wire somewhere?? |

For the temp check your thermostat and impeller. _________________ There'll be two dates on your tombstone/ And all your friends will read 'em/ But all that's gonna matter is that little dash between 'em... |

the float switches on the bilge pumps go bad all the time, new ones are inexpensive and just snap into the holder, 5 minute fix.
For the overheat did the temp come back up again or was it a one time thing? If there is debris in the water it's possible that it was as simple and the intake being partially blocked. If it's still getting hot find the raw water intake hose and follow it up, on my 03 Supra there was a tranny cooler inline before the motor. It had a mesh screen on the inlet side that would clog every so often and cause an overheat. If you're clear there then check out the impeller and if it's good check your t-stat. |

yesterday i found a large piece of plastic stuck on the water inlet under the boat. cleared it replaced the ingnition switch took it out and it did not go over 159 degrees. even sacked out boarding. however the check engine light stayed on.
Will it clear itself or do I have to take it in to get it cleared?
is there a trick to get to the bildge or do I just have to sqeeze through and reach under the engine?
Thank you for all of the responses! |

I'm not sure on the check engine light, you could try disconnecting the batteries overnight and see if that clears it. Otherwise call the dealer, there maybe a way to reset it without taking it in.
The walls between the rear lockers and the motor come out, but other than that you just have to have to reach in there.
Also it would be worth taking a couple minutes and pulling the cover off the impeller housing and checking out the impeller. Make sure it's not missing any fins and that the housing doesn't show signs of rubber burning against it. If it looks good you're probably good but it for sure wouldn't hurt to throw a fresh one in, when they run dry they go bad fast. It's a lot easier to pull one that might be good out than to try and get pieces of one that let go out of the cooling system. |
