Hi,
I am looking at a 2002 Sanger V210. I have owned boats in the past but this will be my first >10k purchase and wanted to see if y'all thought this was a good deal. I like the fact that it's a V-drive with the wrap around seating. It has 206 hours, seller said it's so low because he was oversea. The interior is in excellent shape and was always stored indoors. Has the factory tower with two board racks. Cd player and speakers (no tower speakers). Good trailer. He said he let me have it for 15k. I was wondering if y'all thought this was a good deal for this boat?

Just anything you would normally look for in a boat. Do a search on here you will come up with all kinds of stuff.

My money is that it's a scam, he'll give you some BS reason why you can't actually test drive it and ask for payment via a fake escrow. The boat will probably already be in the "custody" of the shipping company simply awaiting payment.

I don't think it's that absurdly low. Those boats were pretty cheap around 2002, low $30s I think, and it's 9 years old.

Actually I just looked up the NADA, with no options it lists average retail price at $14k, low at $12k.

I agree with this statement.

Check compression in each of the cylinders and all the fluids. Should give you a good idea of the engine condition.

So you don't think this is a good deal? I have not seen another V-Drive for sale anywhere near this price?

I think it is a smoking deal especially in the middle of the summer. You could buy the boat and drive it to Texas and sell it for $19k. I have a 98 sanger v210 and have offers all the time for 15

jharborth, the deal is good, and I wouldn't believe it is a scam. But you should always protect yourself in these transactions.

19.5K and up, average around 22 or so, for 2001 -2003 210's, so I'd say 15 is a good deal. Again: if it has no issues.

IMO NADA is more or less worthless when it comes to pricing wakeboats. For example, they say a '95 Super Sport Nautique is worth $10k low, $12k high.

I will buy a $10k SAN in a heartbeat if you can find one.

If he can drive it and check it out then then it's probably fine, but I would think that an '02 Sanger V210 would sell pretty quick at $19k, but I could very well be wrong, and in this case I hope I am.

You will love it, especially if it has the Black Scorpion motor.
