Looking to see how many WBers are over 40 and still ride on a regular basis. What's your age and how long have you been riding?

I'm 43 and been riding for about three years. Expecting my first baby in about a month so I'll be spending less time on the water. Hoping I'll still be riding into my 50's.

Don't think partyb is going to come on hear and say he is over 40
Just take their age and add eight years

Not quite yet. Also 37, been riding for 15 years. Just started adding some new tricks again after an 8 or 9 year hiatus. Still loving it!

46 and I probably get out about 20 times a year now. Mostly wakeboarding but some of that time is on a ski (super butter mornings) AND I'll still break out the kneeboard Embarassed a few times a summer just to show the kids how it used to be done.

42 here.
Landed 4 of 5 rolls today!
Been boarding since '96.
I'm a slow learner. Embarassed

Tried surfing a couple years ago and didn't quite feel it.
Picked up a V-drive last year and an Inland Surfer this year.
Tried it with the factory ballast plus a couple more sacks.

NOW I get it.

Cool

Damn, y'all are old! I always complain/use the excuse that I didn't find wakeboarding early enough in life and that it's too late for me to be any good at it. This thread makes me realize I may have an awful lot of riding to look forward to. Y'all are an inspiration!

42 - be 43 in a couple weeks - been riding the wakeboard for about 4 years - last two of which have been a bit more serious - I'm a slalom convert - I'll take the ski one or two times a year - but board 3-4 times a week and we'll go year round if the ice isn't too bad...

46 and I also started out on the skurfer. I've been riding for 14 years and have the knees and surgeries to prove it.

I still give the kids a run for their money though..

44 but starting to feel it too. Been wakeboarding for about 4 years now and I too, am a slow learner. The great news is I've about landed my first invert twice over the last two weekends. My first try Sunday was soooo close. Even my daughter thought I had it. Just not getting enough pop yet.

I've definitely slowed down (gotten smarter?) and don't take the chances that I use too but here is one of the main reasons I still love wakeboarding just as much after all these years...by the way, he was 3 in this picture and now that he is all grownup at the age of 4 he says that he is wakeboarding all by himself. My niece is coming with he and his brother this weekend so it should be exciting.

I am 55 and only started wakeboarding 4 years ago. Raced motocross for about 20 years and had to find some thrills with a slightly softer landing in the event of a mishap. Tried waterskiing first as I did some as a kid, but was not really what I was after. Then some friends turned me on to wake boarding and I have been seriously hooked ever since. I get out at least twice a week up here in the very north tip of the Chesapeake bay (Maryland). I am always looking for others to go out with. I just bought a 96 Centurion V Drive couple of weeks ago that I am working the bugs out of, but it looks like it will be a nice boat. Anyone in the area who wants to go out PM me and we will try and hook up. My buddy and I (he is 54) are always trying to find another person to make it legal.

Won't be 40 'til Jan, but still riding as much as I can. Only summer weekends though (and only once so far this year. Sad )

It's been, um, at least ten years.

My father-in-law is 65 and decided this year to try wakeboarding because it's getting too hard for him to get up on his slalom. He's only been once, but seemed positive about it (bought himself a board.)
