Our club at school (now Chicks Dig Flips) just got a new wrap on our A22, sponsored by Humanoid Wakeboards, JL Audio, and Bully Bling Energy Drink. Turned out pretty sick, let me know how y'all like it.

Thanks a lot everyone.
Chattwake, I'm diggin' the wake of the Axis... mainly because of that extra 4000 lbs we toss in her The boat itself, I'll be honest, I despise. It's a decent boat but I would never own one. |

| Curious to know how a slammed Axis holds up to a slammed X-Star wake-wise. We've been running around 4k-ish lbs. in the X-Star lately and I'm freaking loving it, but I've seen some pictures of a wake on an Axis from this forum that just seemed almost unreal. |

| b33nine, very close to the same shape with the Axis wedge up. The X-Star wake will be bigger with the same amount of wake for sure. I've only gone behind the Axis in sorta shallow water, so it's not as big as it's potential holds. However, we put about 1500 pounds on top of stock in my X-Star and it's comparable to the 3500, 4000 lbs we put in the A22. I've ridden slammed X-Star's and it's ridiculous... favorite wake for me without there even being an argument. |

The Xstar wake is very nice when slammed, that's for sure. However, I don't know if I agree that the XStar wake is bigger than a slammed A22 wake. We run factory + 4k + wedge in our A22 when we slam it and the wake is huge, clean, with a really firm, nice lip. One of my best friends rode with the UT wakeboard team. They were given an PWT XStar to use for a season. They slammed that boat with tons and tons of weight, and it was a very nice wake. However, my friend, and some of the other riders I know who rode that pwt boat, perfer the A22 wake and say that it's every bit as big.
To each their own. It's all a matter of perspective and personal tastes. However, the one thing I have notice with the A22 wake is that it is better for beginners because it holds a nice shape even when it's not slammed. Also, it doesn't drive like a barge when it is slammed.
I find it interesting that you despise the boat itself. I came from a 230, and I friggin love my A22. No, it's not as blinged out, but after owning 7 new boats, and having numerous problems with creature comfort/bling features like touch screens, key pads, etc., I'm just happy to go back to the same basic, bullet proof, and cheap to fix technology (i.e. toggle switches for ballast, paddle wheel speed control, etc.) that I had in my '02 XStar. I respect your opinion though, because everyone has different tastes. I hope you get to ride the A22 in some different conditions and let me know whether you still think the XStar wake gets bigger.
I'd suggest filling the factory ballast, nose pnp sac, 1000lbs in the bow, 800-1000 in each rear locker on top of factory, wedge down + 5-6 people in the cabin at 23.6-24.2 mph. |

Chattwake, it's probably because it's always been in shallow water for me here. We went in the St. Johns and it didn't change a whole lot so that's kinda what I'm basing my viewpoint off of. I'll take your word on it though because I know you have plenty experience with the different boats.
When it comes to the A22, the wake is definitely 2nd to the X-Star for me. I love tall, rampy, solid wakes rather than anything that creates a kicker-feel off the wake. For sure a nice boat, but there's some small things that I'm not a fan of which steers me away.
The setup we have now is factory, 750lbs in both rear lockers, 750lbs in the nose, another 550lbs on the seat in the bow, only when I ride I put another 250lb bag against the rear seat, plus people in the main cabin, but no wedge (keeps it rampy for me). I'm running 75ft, 24.2 mph. On my X-Star we have factory, 2-440lbs in each locker, 1-540lbs in the bow, plus people. Pops won't budge on the Pro Series ballast haha |

What makes you despise it, care to elaborate? _________________ FlyZone Wakeboarding Costa Rica |

My buddy just told me he's going to be putting 1100's in place of the 750s in the Axis. Should be nice |

| Surprisingly not as much as people would think. With the above current setup we do 5 gallons per set with full weight, which our sets normally last about 40 minutes. |
