I have a 98 sea ray br with the merc 3.0 and I have blown the head gasket twice now for overweighing the boat. Would it be possible to put in a 4.3 and it still fit the alpha one outdrive? _________________ Lake Shelbyville, IL |

the alpha 1 would fit the 4.3. but the 3.0's main motor mount is in the front of it...the 4.3 is on either side. you would have to cut, grind, build, and fiberglass in some mounts. i would sell it and get a new boat with a bigger motor. _________________ trying to find a $5-7K usable saltare if anyone knows of one. |

lol this. You can search for that thread on the searay board, but I do remember it was a big process. It could get pretty expensive too if you dont have access to a cheap motor. _________________ 2007 Mobius LSV |
