| By far the most helpful thing to my learning was watching videos. Look them up on youtube and I also purchased Shaun Murray's Detention dvd. Do you have a boat or access to one? You need to watch some tutorials about getting up and carving before you do anything though |

I agree with what hyperlite said about watching videos. The Book is the best set and what really taught me how to wakeboard.
Good luck brah! |

| definitely watch an instructional on how to get up before you go, especially if no one on the boat knows how. I can't tell you how much it helps to have a clear picture in your head before you try....leads to A LOT LESS trial and error. Good luck, it's an awesome sport! |

Go to a wakeboard camp or just take some lessons before you develop too many bad habits. It'll pay back in the end. _________________ FlyZone Wakeboarding Costa Rica |

A few lessons are worth every penny. Most people figure out how to ride by themselves and want to help others out but they make the worst coaches for first timers. A couple lessons will really help you get a strong grip on the basics and give you the love for the sport.
I had my friends teach me and lost a couple seasons trying to teach myself with out much success. I've just gone to my second lesson and have progressed further in the last two weeks than I did in the previous to years.
Once you get comfortable behind the boat and find a little air you won't want to do anything else. |
