Hey ya'll,
So just started my adventure in wakeboarding. My issue is my footing. when I set my bindings, I set them for right foot forward. I am getting out of water and managing to stay up awhile, but my right hip is killed. I think maybe I should be left foot forward, but I am getting up right foot forward????? How do you know for sure?? Is it just trying both ways?
Also should my bindings be a little duck-footed when set in board??
Thanks For Help! |

Few tricks I've heard/used........
Which way would you slide across the kitchen floor in socks?
Which foot is the first when going up a flight of stairs?
Stand flat footed and have someone push you. Which foot do you use to catch yourself?
Mine is all right foot and right foot forward is the way I ride.
Or just go out and try to be comfortable both ways. I wish I would have spent more time riding switch when I first started. |

Another tip for setting up your bindings- standing still, jump in the air and land without thinking. Look down at your feet and that's your natural landing stance. Set up your bindings to match that stance. It should be slightly ducked. |

Ducking your bindings a bit will also help a little bit if your hip hurts. Learning to keep the rope handle near your front hip will also help that a bit. _________________

I do everything left foot forward, so I set mine up that way and it works well. |

yes, duck-foot if you can, and try both ways. Even after you figure out which you prefer, continue to ride both ways. This will help you in the long run A LOT |
