We camp and take our boat with us so it sees some highway miles. I'm tired of cleaning bug guts off the tower and trying to figure out a way to minimize or even eliminate the problem. Has anyone come up with a solution? I'd like to find a 3M product that I could stick on the leading edge of the tower and let the bugs build up on it, then just rip it off when I get to my destination. I thought I'd try wrapping the legs and cross members in stretch wrap.

This may sound ridiculous, but saran wrap is an easy and cheap answer for your problem. I use it any time I go on a road trip. Wrap the tower and tape off the ends so they don't unravel while you're driving. Give it a shot...

We never tow ours but about 4 miles now , but we use to haul it every where ! My tower is round ( Titian III ) I use pipe wrap ( from Lowes/ Home Depot ) the stuff that keeps your pipes from freezing on your house . I just buy a bag of zip ties , and zip tie to all 4 legs, then I would saran wrap the speakers Embarassed . It WORKS !

Use the big pipe insulation that comes in a long piece of foam with a cut in it. Looks like a swimming noodle with a slit cut all the way down one side of it. You can tape it on cheaply, rip it off easily when you get there, re-use it for the trip back by easily re-taping it, and (best of all) it is CHEAP.

Thanks for the response. I think I'll endup using a combination of the foam insulation and stretch wrap.
