|
|
Hi, sorry no video, but need some help..
When I started learning tantrums I was leaving a bit early and underrotating a bit....but I was flipping cleanly. Now I am rising off the top of the wake and getting good height but I am turning frontside on the way down. Any tips to cure this...? A guy on my boat was telling me to use less upper body and more legs and 'relax' the flip. I am pulling on the rope...but I'm trying not to!!
Any tips appreciated!

You may be throwing back off axis too hard when you're throwing into the flip. Can't really tell what's going on with the super-imposed picture you've got going on but when I do a Tantrum here's what I concentrate on:
1) Edge into the wake, and at the last second turn to get that trip flip effect keeping your shoulders perfectly in line with the rope.
2) Throw your shoulders back after you've squared to the wake and are getting ready to "trip".
3) Try spotting your landing as early as possible, if you're twisting your head around and pulling on the handle, that's gonna pull you off axis as well.
Without a video, that's my best advice, good luck bud, keep shreddin!
