Pretty cool. A big portion of the handle pass is waiting to pass until you're already in the air, reducing line tension.

I've done things similar to this before with a plastic bag and a basketball, but it doesn't provide much resistance, and the bag tears up after 10 to 15 minutes. Just found an empty detergent bottle that hadn't gotten thrown out, so I will definitely be making this today! Great cheap solution to provide some muscle memory

I ended up attaching the handle to a 5 gallon bucket and filling it with water depending on how heavy I wanted

I filled a one gallon jug with water and that got the job done for me. I started doing this drill last year as well and now all my 3s are consistent. It worked for me

Its funny that the guy practices with that thing knuckles down, but passes palm to palm behind the boat...
