connecting ipod with USB problem.

Well basically when I go to connect my ipod to the usb port, my ipod says "Does not support this accessory." While the interface on the boat tells me "USB RD."

Axillary works, but I want to be able to charge my ipod as well.

Ipod Touch 3rd Generation is what I have, I have yet to try another ipod. The boat is a 2011 Malibu.

Any thoughts?

When I plug my iPhone 4 into my Clarion CMD6 USB cord it says does not support this device also. The same thing happens sometimes when I plug into my home Onkyo receiver with ipod dock. I just ignore and either play the ipod or play Pandora. Works fine everything, whether it shows "does not support device" or not.

On my CMD6 it has an option to control the ipod/iphone or control it yourself with the actual ipod/iphone. I to have it set so I can control the iphone to play Pandora, otherwise it will just play the ipod.
