|
|
Hi everbody, I'm looking to get my prop remanufactured for my Mercruiser 3.0 3 blade aluminum stock prop in MD, somewhere nearby, or even somehwere that takes props in the mail. The only place that I could find close wanted to charge me $250 (could prob get a new one and better one for that much). If you have any ideas or someone that you can refer me too I'd appreciate it. Not sure how realistic this is, but i want to spend $100 or less if I can.
I'm looking to get a Merc hi 5 or a Qucksilver DST but I won't have the extra $$$ available until next season most likely. And my prop is in desperate need a reman for this season. Thanks! |

check out iboats.com you can pick up a new prop for under 100. a shop will charge you around $50 and ear and up to fix an aluminum prop. if you search diligently you can find a high 5 for around 300. i paid 325 for mine. ebay would be your friend here. _________________ trying to find a $5-7K usable saltare if anyone knows of one. |

kartman, Thanks for the reply Kartman. I checked out iboats.com and found this...
http://boatpropellers.iboats.com/Mercruiser/125_-_140_HP_(All_Years)_19.00-Pitch_Amita_1513-143-19_Propeller/437/9566/
PS: You need to copy and paste the link in an internet window. Not sure why it won't connect directly.
I def want a hi 5 or QST but I really can't afford to put more than $100 into it right now (2 little girls, day care, etc...) plus I've already put about $1K into a new board and boat parts over the last few weeks, but it sounds like a new prop would be just as cheap or less as a reman. Will the prop above give me any better holeshot and handling vs. the stock aluminum? Thanks again. |

| kartman, Thanks man. 1 more question, do you know if I need to buy new washers, nuts, etc... that they had on the website, or will just ordering the prop be fine? |
