Hello, me and a buddy juts picked up a couple ballast bags and a tsunami pump (t800). We see how to fill the bags, but what we are unsure of is if we need to attach a hose to the fill side of the tsunami or just throw it over the side of the boat? Also when we go to drain the bags we know we need to switch the inlet and outlet but does the pump need to go on the bag or will a hose going from the pump to the bag work? Sorry for the long post, but searched and couldn't find anything like this except a thread about a uber pump and everyone there said get a tsunami. Thanks.

Easy stuff.
Fill.....pump in lake
Empty.....pump hooked to bag

You're thinking too hard.

thats what I figured, but didn't want to fry a brand new pump. Will it still work by hooking up another hose to the inlet and putting that in the water to fill and on the bag to drain?

The good thing about these pumps is they can run dry forever without harming them.

They will run dry....but make sure they do not suck up to much stuff from the lake.

Not sure about the second hose idea but I would not worry about it. They are made to be put in the water to fill.
