| Just bought my first set of closed toe bindings....to go along with a 2011 murray board. I decided on 2010 hyperlite team...any feedback on these?? |

Ditto. CT is totally worth the extra money IMO. _________________ rally to the wake |

i loved my 2010 and love my 2011's. the laces tend to stop keeping the boot tight...same thing with the 2011's...
great boot. buy extra laces!! |

Those look great man! congrats!
but to the replys:: I dont understand the huge hype over CT,.. yes they look better, but ive ridden them and it makes NO difference, you pay alot more for a cooler looking binding that fits less peoples feet should you share your board, and takes longer to dry out, not to mention more difficult to clean out. and should you take a bad fall you get the lovely feeling of toes cramming into the end of the boot.
I get that its a "fashion" but as far as performance goes i think its oversold, i think that viewpoint is due to the fact bindings are getting constantly better, so people that had older not as good OT buy a newer, more comfortable, better supported boot that happens to have a CT, and instantly assume the extra support and response is not because they cant see their toes. |

| Be careful when trying to get the bottom laces tight. The top inside lace loop on the bottom ripped off on both of mine about 2 months into last summer. Makes the bottom part even more difficult to get tight without those. |

This has been one of my complaints on HL bindings from the start, their lace locks SUCK!! Swap 'em out with CWB locks and you'll be good to go. _________________

erikneufeld, I disagree. When I rode ot bindings, I occasionally would land realy toe heavy and have my foot slide forward in the bindings - sometime so much so that it killed my ankle/heel. I love how, with a closed toe, even if I land like that or crash, there's no way my foot is coming out the front of the binding. At the very worst, I jam my big toe now. Also, I find that the ct bindings allow a little more control when rocking back on a heel edge, because you can pull up with your toes and the front of your feet against the top of the toe cap.
Just my observations. |
