I'm looking at the LF Trip for my first board and was just wondering what size would be ideal. I'm 5'7 and 150lbs, kind of leaning towards the 134 cuz sometimes my girl will want to use it and the weight for the 138 starts at 150? Just wondering if you guys have any experience between the two sizes? Don't really know how big a difference the 4cm will make. Thanks |

If you are looking at the Trip coupled with the Index bindings, i would try to see if you can try those boots on at a local shop if at all possible. I mentioned this to someone else on here, but those boots have a very wide range of fit, like 9-13 or something, and they don't fit well unless your the 13. Im about 5'7 also, wear a size 10.5 shoe and those boots gave me zero support. My foot slid around side to side and no matter how hard i sinched the laces i could not get them tight except for the upper part of the boot. Just something to consider depending on the size boot your looking at, and if your girl is going to be in them also, no way.
as for the board size - i learned on 138 about 6 sessions because it was a rental board, a trip actually, and it was good. I bout a 134 and had my first session on it yesterday... i prefer the 134 and it floats me no problem.
hope that helps, good luck! |

I would go with a size 138 for your board. |

a 134 will boot you a bit more, but give you harder landings. The larger board will soften the landings a bit. I've been riding a 134 for the past 5 years, and now im 5' 11' 190lbs, and ready to switch to a 141 or 143 lol _________________ '06 LF Substance, Soon to be a 2011 Watson Classic!
