So I'm still on the quest for my new boat board. I'm looking at last years models and need some suggestions.
I demo a 2010 Hyperlite Byerly and 2010 LF Watson this weekend and here's what I thought.
LF Watson:
Good pop, a little loose (which I like), nice soft landings and pretty quick. Overall I really liked the board and could see picking one up, but it's been a while since I rode a good boat board so I don't have a lot to compare it to.
Hyperlite Byerly:
Insane pop, very locked in (felt like you were on rails), leg breaking landings, and a little slow. It was super fun to hit the wake but coming down was an absolute beating. It felt kinda slow too and took a little more effort to make sure I cleared the wake. I didn't really like the board.
Now I haven't been able to find a Hyperlite Murray to try but all the reviews I've read for the 2010 model are very good. So I'm pretty much between the Watson and the Murray at this point.
What I'm looking for in a board is good pop and soft landings. My knees are pretty beat up so the soft landing is the most important part. The Watson fit the bill, but the mystique of the Murray still intrigues me.
Any reviews\suggestions on the Watson vs Murray would be awesome.
Thanks,
