Ive got an old Bayliner Capri, a bit bigger but seems to be similarly shaped.
I found the best addition was some weight in the bow, not sure how much, as I just filled the front most storage with a bag of sand, it stays there permanently, I also pushed 2 more bags of sand towards the front of the boat from inside the ski locker, and then fill a 550lb ballast bag in the ski locker.
Ive had good results with that.

I also have an extra 550lb ballast bag Ive used in addition in the middle of the boat, on top of the ski locker. But it didnt seem to make much more improvement.
I also took two plastic drums recently and filled them with sand and a bit of water, theyre very heavy, I havent tried them out yet. going to have 2 of them at the back of the boat next time, mainly to balance out the boat as I usually ride with an uneven amount of people.

I had a 175 from 2006 - 2010, and I agree with Obsessed's strategy (most of the weight up front), however I would recommend sticking with water based ballast only (IE fatsacs). I did find that you couldn't add too much weight to the boat before it really struggled to get on plane and the slow hole shot made it hard to get the riders up.

Thats right, I also had trouble getting on plane, even when I wasnt pulling a rider.
Thats why I added the weight up front initially, as it kept the nose down, and I was on plane sooner. It did help a lot and thats why I used sand as I always wanted it there.
