I'm 5'7", 116, and just getting into boarding end of last season. I was riding on my boyfriend's board that was around 138 for a while, and then his friend got the new Hyperlite B-Side 140 and set it with a wide stance and I hated it cause I felt like I had no control and the board felt way too big. So I have to get my own board to get any better. I'm a beginner that would like to advance, but doubt I'll be upside down and am strictly boat wakeboarding for now. Questions I have...

1 - what size should I go with? 128? 130? 134? I'm light, but I'm tall, does height matter?...
2 - I've looked at Hyperlite's Divine, Liquid Force's Angel, and CWB's Lotus? Thoughts? BTW, I've heard little to nothing on CWB? should I even be looking at them? and should I package?
3- Any other advice would be grrreat. Thanks!

height really isnt a factor, it is going to be more based on weight

im sorry but i dont know anything about those boards

i guess the first thing i would look at is your bf's board and the fin setup. if you like it look for a girls board with a similar setup.

if you were riding a 138 last season i would go with something in the 130-134 range, but check the suggested weight range to see if you are in it

this is just general advice sorry i cant be more specific

are you ordering online?

do you have access to a wakeboard shop near you?
a lot of people are going to tell you to try it out before you buy it, if you can

also you may try posting in the general wake forum, you will probably get more responses

I ended up going with a 2009 Hyperlite Syn 137. I like it a lot, just getting the positioning of my boots right and I think I'm going to take off the fins, but I got a great deal and love it. Thanks though! Razz
