|
|
The previous owner pulled the boat with a diesel pick up and didn't clean it very often.
Any tips for removing to residue from the hull? I tried a little spot with polishing compound without any luck. |

Try sno-bowl the toilet bowl cleaner. Be sure to clean that area real well after and apply more wax. _________________ There'll be two dates on your tombstone/ And all your friends will read 'em/ But all that's gonna matter is that little dash between 'em... |

2nd the toilet bowl cleaner. make sure you wear gloves and don't get any on the bunks where your carpet is. That should take everything off. _________________ Don't do anything rash.....and don't do anything to get a rash... |

Finally got it off. Tried bathroom cleaner, The Works toilet bowl cleaner(couldn't find Sno-Bowl), Quick-N-Brite, dish soap, car wash soap, and hull cleaner.
The only thing that I was able to get it off with was Easy Off oven cleaner and a magic eraser. Lots of elbow grease, and followed up with a good wash and wax.
I was a little nervous about how the stuff would react with the fiberglass and gelcoat, but no issues. Looks great. |
