After waiting all winter I started my stereo upgrade this week and it is more of a PITA then I thought.
I will post pics soon but I am to tired to mess with that tonight.
I got a New Stereo and JBL Amp from Santa and scored a set of 4 speaker Tantrum Designs 6.5” cans off ebay last year.
To Start I pulled the Jump seat off the base and cut a piece of 3/4 plywood to mount the amp off the floor under the seat then ran a coat of resin over the wood. I drilled the tower and routed the Speaker wires inside then Ran Power through the hull from the Battery to the Amp using 8AWG wire.
Routing wires in a boat is a bit more complicated then car audio, every-time I thought I had a clear shot I would run into something. After a few hours of cursing I finally had all the wires routed. I am happy with the end product, nothing is visible other then the 6" speaker jumper from the hull penetration to the tower and I will loom that this week.
I think the next project will be to add a second battery and install my Perko Switch
Here they are, Boat is still dirty from the winter but the stereo is in and it rocks. The white rope is just my wake board rope hanging down all the speaker wires are inside the tower and not visible.
