I am going to Montana this weekend. I want to take my boat but it is 600 miles. Is this too far to trailer with a single axel trailer? I have new tires and good bearings. Also Idaho has a minimum 1500 pound weight after which your are required trailer brakes. Does that mean I can' t pull my trailer through there? CA has the same thing but I have friends who go down to Shasta and I know they don't have brakes. Do they check this stuff often? Any experiences?
i'm not sure about the laws but you can trailer a boat as far as you can stand to pull it but please get a spare tire we see sooooo many boats left on the side of the road missing a tire because they didn't have a spare. when we trailer long disstance i check the boat trailer every time i stop looking at the tires and if the wheel bearing are throwing any grease. good luck and have fun on your tripe you could all ways call the montana state police and ask that might be the best _________________ we can fix it !!!!
