advice for 2001 xstar parts

Hey guys,

I need a few things for my 2001 xstar: 1.)new boat cover 2.) 4 new speakers (not tower speakers) 3.) new bimini top

If any one has the same boat or a x1 advice would be great.

Im mainly wondering where I can find good quality but cheap boat cover and bimini.
In regards to the speakers. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what are the best types of marine speakers to get. Make, size, etc.. Ive looked around and I've found alot of types but some are extremly expensive. Is there really any difference between the $80.00 pair and the $300.00 pair.

I just shopped covers for my 08' X-45. Weighing the pro's and con's of each I ended up just going through Mastercraft because I wanted the ratchet system. However, there are a lot of sites that have cheaper covers. try http://www.boatcover.info/

As far as speakers go, I'd go with JL Audio. This is what Mastercraft puts in standard and they sound awesome as long as you power them correctly. I just got a new cover for my 2001 X-Star last spring. The guys from the MC TeamTalk forums were able to guide me in the right direction with a couple of different options.

One of them suggested Apex Canvas, it just so happens they are down the road from MC in TN and are making covers for the X-1 (maybe more). Anyways I got a hold of them at Apex Canvas and they verfied dimensions, gave me color options and did it all for the cheapest around.

With that said, I got the cover maybe 2 weeks later from day of order. It fit my boat perfect, has the rachet system, they gave me new poles (didn't realize I was getting poles for the price I paid) and it even had the MC logo on the cover.

I definitely recommend going through them. They were very informative and I got everything I wanted out of the cover. Their price was cheaper then any of the semi-custom covers that I came across. I ordered a grey cover so it wouldn't bake in the sun and the poles were a bonus.
