I'm looking to buy a new board for this summer and was wondering if there is a big difference in Intermediate and Advanced boards?

I've been using a LF Watson Classic from a friend but am ready to buy my own. I would like to buy an Advanced board but there is a much bigger selection of my size in Intermediate. Is there a big difference?
