Texas Highschool Wakeboarders!!!

Houston Watersports Complex and Backside Five are sponsoring a ‘Battle of the Boards’ between some of Houston’s elite high schools. This will be a wakeboarding competition on HWC’s private cable park lake and HWC’s private boat lake. We will have multiple divisions to compete in from beginner, to intermediate, to outlaw levels, along with male and female divisions. You can also compete in either the ‘cable’ or behind the boat, ‘wake’ disciplines. The ERC “Infinity 2T” cable system will be pulling competitors down the lake and over different obstacles as the team riders perform their best tricks on the water. Additionally, we will be pulling the wake competition on Lake HWC, a private, 22 acre body of water, behind a Sanger or Nautique wakeboard boat and looking for the best set of tricks performed off the monster wakes.
We are challenging you to create a ‘Wakeboard TEAM’ at your high school and get as many known wakeboarders, friends, interested riders/competitors and a solid support group together and come out to compete against your high school rivals and other Houston area high schools. Cliff McInnis of HWC will be assisting you in putting your ‘TEAM’ together by coming out to your school to do a dry land wakeboard clinic in your classroom and explain in detail, the sport of wakeboarding. He will also be available to do clinics and lessons for your ‘TEAM’ to prepare for this competition. As a ‘TEAM’ you will also receive discounts at HWC for all your practice sessions, private or group lessons, discounted fees to ride HWC’s new cable park and even discounts on wakeboards and merchandise in the pro shop.
April 16th is fast approaching so start gathering all your water rat friends/athletes and put together your best high school ‘TEAM’ and compete for some great prizes. The “H-Town Battle of the Boards Champion” title and a year worth of bragging rights will go to the overall champion in the team competition along with a custom designed Wakeboard as the trophy for your school to put on display.
