My LF A. Reed delaminated on me toward the end of the season. I need to pick up a new one before next year. I only had the thing 2 seasons and it was done. I don't want to have to keep buying new skates every other year.

It seems like these Integrity Bamboo skates are the way to go.

Quote:
Added vertically laminated, cross ply bamboo as the Centra-Fused core system. With this deck you get a traditional wood wakeskate feel, with all the benefits of a closed cell composite. This added feature will give you an extra pound of swing weight and a denser feeling in your deck. The core will never warp or take on water. Added benefits are strength, stiffness, density, and solid pop.

Sounds like what I am looking for. It's more expensive than I'd like but worth it if it lasts a while.

Anyone have any experience with the bamboo skates? Also I was riding a 41" and the largest bamboo skate I see is 40.23". It seems like they should make a bamboo version of the team skate.

Anyone know when they're supposed to have more bamboos in stock?

As of right now, there is no 41" skate with a Bamboo core. The largest is the Ryan Lemons 40.23" or whatever it is. I ride an 08 Limited 41" (no bamboo core) currently, and found that the 40.23" Lemons Bamboo deck felt wider in the tip and tail and definitely floated my 200lb ass just fine. So as far as the size difference, I wouldn't worry about it at all.

As far as it being worth the money- absolutely. If you're willing to drop coin for one, you won't be let down. Integrity decks are unbelievably strong, and since Erich makes them himself you know you aren't gonna get a dud. I would go as far as saying that Integrity decks outlast 90% of their owners. Last year when Integrity didn't produce any decks, used Integritys went for full price on wakeskating.com's Classified forums.

Now, the interesting part: At Surf Expo there was a 41" Team deck with a bamboo core in Integrity's booth. Details about this are somewhat fuzzy, though.

If you have any other specific questions feel free to ask.

scott a, well I need one for next season so I guess I will buy the biggest available. I had an '04 Team that I sold because I liked the weight of the wood skate better, so if I go with Integrity I am definitely going bamboo.

Does anyone have an idea of when I could get a Lemons Bamboo? Should I just start looking used or will Integ be shipping by start of next season?

The lemons and the taylor are both sweet, I have a good friend that has had both boards over a yeah. He loves them.... They are too light weight for me, but I can't deny that they are durable as hell!!!! good choice if you want a skate that will last!! Lemons is quite a bit bigger than the taylor..... I am sure it will work out for you!!!

hows the durability on sand, rocks, mud, grass, etc etc? where we go to winch, it really gives our board a beating. been burning through 5yr old pawn shop boards about 1 a week or so. would spend the extra money if they really take a beating....
