| I'm planning on putting a few sacs in my boat. The weight capacity of the boat is 1400lbs, do i need to pay special attention to this? I was thinking a set of the v drive side sacs on either side of the engine since the boat is dd. This leaves me ~600lbs under capacity. Rear seats would be nice but arent a must so do i buy a 600lb sac? Or put some weight up front? Any ideas? |

| If it's not sinking it's not enough. I often overloaded my old boat by about 1000 lbs. You're fine. |

| My only caution is this: be sure you can plane out with whatever you put in. We loaded up the 01 maristar I ride behind yesterday with 300 on the floor above the ski locker and 900 in the rear beside the engine, and had to move the 2 passengers to the bow to get beyond 14mph. |

^^^^ story of my life!
we'd have 6-8 people running baack and forth to the bow to get people up b/c we usually run around at capacity load, not including the people, so with everyone onboard we easily push 1000lb's over. (just watch out for big waves comming over when you go to pick up your rider) |

I won't have more than 4 people mostly so I should be good to load up the ballast to capacity? _________________ Dale - "When life hands you lemons, make lemonade -- THEN find someone who's life handed them vodka and throw one helluva party" |

just check your states waterway laws if they are able to partol your lake and verify your not going to get cited for it, then yes that should be fine. what kinda of boat do you have?
my fiends Super Air is run at 2k over and then loaded with people as well, planing out take about 10 seconds but it has a huge wake, only problem is you have to wait for your wake to pass you before turning to get your rider when they go down, we have taken on huge amounts of water over the front in his boat from turning too early. |

I have an '87 american skier advance. Where we ride is a small private sandpit so I won't have to worry about any patrolling _________________ Dale - "When life hands you lemons, make lemonade -- THEN find someone who's life handed them vodka and throw one helluva party" |

ah shouldnt be a problem to oad to capacity then, just be carefull to place the weight where its supported well and cannot go through the floor if you hit a bad bump
and add it slow, you may not be able to plain out depending on where the weight is distributed in the boat |

sounds like a lot of experimentation. I dont think going through the floor will be much of an issue. The boat sat in my cousins airplane hanger for atleast 10 years and the floors are in remarkable shape. Plus theres only maybe <6in under the floor _________________ Dale - "When life hands you lemons, make lemonade -- THEN find someone who's life handed them vodka and throw one helluva party" |

| yeah it took us a while to balance front to back weight so we could still plain out but have as much towards the rear as possible |
