I don't know just a whole lot about it either, but I have a Never Summer snowboard and love it. I would recommend it for your board.

shaggyboarder, if you're going to be jibbing it up I would recommend something on the shorter end of things. Maybe a 149-153, and I would highly recommend grabbing something with either flat or reverse camber (will make it feel a lot more like a wakeboard). Generally speaking unless you're lapping booters or shredding a pipe a reverse camber board is going to be more fun to shredd. Oh and reverse camber boards float unreal in the powder.

I'm super hyped on the Lib Tech Skate Banana right now, and definitely take a look at Lib Tech if you're riding ice all that often (Magne-Traction KILLS it in ice). I also really loved the Nitro Rook, it was deliciously buttery and all around just super playful. Never Summer makes super solid product (like a tank), actually I've got a 7 year old Evo that still has a lot of life left in it, but in general they seem to ride pretty stiff and damp. Which might not really be what you're into...

For bindings, I'm really stoked on Union's lineup. For the mid range but still awesome, I really like the FLITE, Contact or the Force if you want to spend a bit more. They're super bombproof and are super comfortable.

Boots are super subjective, but if you're going to squander your budget away squander it in your boots. As much as it kills me (I've been a die-hard ThirtyTwo fan for the last 6-7 years) Nike right now is making some of the most comfortable boots on the market. Also check out Celsius and ThirtyTwo if you've got a shop that you can go and try on boots at (I'm guessing places down in Florida don't carry much snow stuff). For riding park you're going to want a boot that is a bit on the softer side. I'm riding the Nike Kaiju's this year and they are hands down my favorite boot this season (actually, they're the best boot I've ever put on my foot to be honest).

Anyways, if you have any questions about specific boards and what not, hit me up. I hate to throw down a shameless plug, but if you get a complete setup from my shop (tactics.com) then I can hook you up a bit.

DRAGON88, Thanks, that helped alot. I will def check the site and take a look see. Yeah not many shops here in FL that do carry stuff so maybe that will help me negotiate. I like to cruise/carve alot, dont get me wrong I would love to hit other stuff but its just so darn weird getting air with no line tension or something to hold onto.

For bindings if you look at Union i'd also look drake bindings because they are a lot cheaper and fit really better. They are from the same guys ( a story similar to Ronix and Hyperlite)...

For boots check the ThirtyTwo for sure but watch Northwave boots. They are the comfiest boots i've ever put my feet in. (And I work in a snowboard shop that carries Nitro, Northwave, Ride , 32 , and a bit more)

For boards, if you want to carve A LOT i wouldnt go on a Reverse camber (or banana) LibTech.
Take a look a the ride lineup or Capita for great great boards.

I snowboard a lot. I'm from Canada so we're more than half the year in snow...
but wakeboarding will still be the best sport ever.
