Like I said on the other thread...not a big fan of boycotting, but this is kind of sad. Saw this on a different forum...

If your feeling pissed call 604-932-0647, press 3 for the owners name. Bombard this prick's phone line.

Or the hundreds or thousands of dogs being clubbed in the streets of asia?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/5233704.stm

That story literally makes me sick to my stomach.

Sorry just realized the link I posted was from '06 Rolling Eyes

Still wish I hadn't seen it though. My day is pretty much ruined because of all this dog killing.

damn - that's f*cked up. one of my best friends is a musher up in alaska and cares for up to 60 dogs at a time. i'm debating to send him the link because it would put him into a funk like no other.

im chat w/ my buddy this morning. my comments bold

did you read the terrible story about the sled dogs in vancouver?

it happens everyday

horrible

every year 1000s of dogs are killed in the north
i've seen them being kileed as soon as they are born

because they aren't strong enough?

beacuse they were accidental breedings

what does that mean?

some dog got loose from the chain and bread w another dog
and when you have 100 dogs you don't want an extra 5 or 6 you didn't plan on having

gotcha
did you have to do that?

no way

that doesn't seem like you

i don't have he heart for it

but those dogs in vancouver were adults

yup

I know you could say it is a business decision, but that would be tough. That would be a business I couldn't be in. I'm sure this type of thing happens in many industries with animals, where the animal is a commodity rather than a pet or companion.

Interesting perspective from your friend jt.

you'd think the industry could set up some type of rescue organization or something. i'm sure people would take free puppies.
