While I'm all for it...I have a bit of a gripe.

Just bought my first board in about 9 years - an 11 Watson hybrid. I recently got back on the board for the first time in a while (have moved countries, got bored, live near a cable park etc)

I bought some Byerly Pro bindings to go with it, which are awesome. I have one question - why do bindings not really sit flush anymore?

What happened to old fashioned base plates which you stick some bones on and screw in the bolt with a washer and the binding doesn't move at all? Confused

Anyway, testing it out tomorrow, will see how it goes.

Most likely the bindings or the hardware. My Sovens and Harleys are level on that board with no play.

Put a washer in there. LF has shallower inserts than Hype/Byerly. Not a big deal, either grind your screws a bit shorter, or put a little washer on top of the toothed one that came with the bindings.

k.anderson3454, A highly specific piece of wakeboarding equipment. It is comprised of a precision milled disc of either metal or plastic, which circumvents the shaft of a screw or bolt and allows for voids or gaps in components to be filled, allowing proper fitment.

Most look simiar to this:
