Sorry there's not any video of this... almost took my camera out today.
Water was roughly 57 degrees so I only wore a top so my legs were a little on the cold side. On the one end of our run, I always whip outside and press the board and turn it a little so I am slicing through the water on the very tip of the board. First one was quite successful. Second one... not so much. My legs went numb and I wasn't able to feel exactly what the board was doing underneath me... so I press the tail, go to turn sideways to get on the very tip, and some part of the board decided to snag on the water. Now picture me going roughly 30-35mph (from edging out... a fair estimate) and something snagging the board. I don't know how many times I tumbled, but lets just say I thought that I was going to die while all of this was happening. When it all ended and I knew that everything was cool, I looked up at the boat and smiled, along with a "WOOOOO!!!!!" and a double fist pump for the Wreck of the Day (or possibly the year for our crew). They come back around, make sure everythings cool (while laughing a good bit at me) and pull me back up. What's this? I'm going to the left of the board pretty hard and actually working to get up on the water... what's goin' on? Sure enough, I look down, and the front of the board is flapping in the water! Somewhere in all the tumbling, the board decided to snag enough and snnnnnap the board. Always something

I hereby nominate holds as the almighty board tester. That's super lame though.
But seriously I think you've seen the inside of more boards than anyone. _________________ Today is a chance to become a greater person than the person we were the day before. |

Hey, that humanoid breaking aside, how did you like the ride? Have you ridden a slingshot to compare it to? jc what it feels like. Sad it snapped on you. _________________ Today is a chance to become a greater person than the person we were the day before. |

haha I have a rep with the Ronix rep (hope that makes sense) about me breaking their boards all the time. I'm completely stunned that I managed to snap a flex board... I tumbled every which way that I can't tell how it hit the water in order for it to snap like that (which is snapped the way it's meant to be bent! )
If you demo or decide to buy a Humanoid, hit me up and I'll help you out. |

LOL Holy cow - that's pretty impressive.
erm Flex boards are meant to 'flex' not bend in two! _________________ Suck it up and get hardcore! |

| Not sure, it's a free board from Humanoid that we demo out and can sell... I'm guessing they'll send us a new one but I'm not really sure. |

Congratulations to me!
My buddy I live/ride with e-mailed the guys at Humanoid... Kyle Schmidt wrote back saying that I'm the first person to break a Humanoid without hitting a rail and that I should be proud. |

| Same shiz happened to me during the turnaround on my buddies ski lake, hittin that tail press/power slide going 30 and then darkness (concussion #959). Luckily I flew out of my bindings so the board was fine and didn't hit me but damn my head hurt. |

Damn dude! That's gnarly. No way a board should break on any kind of a slide, I don't care how many tumbles. That's shoddy right there.
Of course I've broken 2 LF boards before on landings, so maybe it's more common than it should be. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |
